MAN IN NEVADA CHARGED WITH DRUNK DRIVING

No bail has been set for a man accused of causing a four-car accident on the night of June 1, according to local sources. Nevada police arrested the man after the fatal accident that claimed the life of a 71-year-old woman. He stands charged with drunk driving and was set to appear in front of a judge the morning of June 3.

According to the police report, the 29-year-old man allegedly ran a red light at a U.S. 95 intersection, striking two vehicles in the intersection. The force of the impact caused one of the struck vehicles to carry on and hit a third vehicle. One of the drivers, a 71-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The conditions of the other drivers and any passengers involved in the crash were not recorded in this report. The driver police believe to be responsible suffered only minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He is now charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as failure to observe a traffic signal. He is being held without bail ahead of his first court date.

Drunk driving is a serious charge here in Nevada, as a conviction can influence the driver’s ability to drive in the future, not to mention the implications of a criminal record and possible loss of freedom. This is why the prosecution carries the burden of proof to formally establish that the man was indeed intoxicated at the time of the crash. However, if attending police mishandled any sobriety testing on-site, or if the driver’s rights were impeded during the arrest process, this could influence the severity of the charges and/or the outcome of the criminal proceedings.

Skillful Defense Against Any Type Of PCS Or Marijuana Possession Charge

My only concern is securing the best available result for each client I serve. I am diligent If you are found in possession of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, a medication for which you have no doctor's prescription, club drugs or drug paraphernalia, I will present the strongest possible case to show that the drugs were not yours or that the police had no grounds to perform the search that led to the discovery of the drugs.

If the prosecution has compelling evidence in your case, I will pursue every available option in an effort to avoid a conviction on your record. Depending on the circumstances surrounding your case, it may be possible negotiate 3363 treatment that would allow for your case to be dismissed after you complete court-ordered classes or drug treatment.
